OPEF Supporter for the 2018-2020 School Year’s

To address rising class sizes in Grades K-3, OPEF funded two classroom instructional assistants per grade level, per school, trained in Columbia University’s Reading and Writing Workshop and the OPUSD’s math program to provide additional support to our students on a daily basis. This provided more adult contact in the classroom. It takes the burden off of the PTAs/PFAs to fund teaching assistants and equalizes the numbers of them across our three elementary schools.
