Meera Spatnekar

Ambassador

Meera, her husband Ameya, and their two kids Ahana and Abir, moved to Oak Park in 2018 from San Francisco Bay Area. The excellent public schools and education opportunities, and culturally diverse, family-friendly neighborhoods is what attracted them to Oak Park. Ahana is currently a second grader at Red Oak and Abir is a preschooler at the Montessori of North Ranch. Their first year with OPUSD has been a very positive and enriching experience!

Meera wishes to create an impact in the educational experience her kids and their peers will have at OPUSD in the several years to come. She discovered OPEF as a community of like-minded volunteers who want to invest in creating a resourceful and advancing educational environment for the district. With OPEF helping address the gaps in funds, our schools can focus on striving for excellence in academics and the overall development of our children.

Meera has a strong passion for making new connections and building relationships in the community. She enjoys hiking, reading and volunteering. She is an active PFA member at Red Oak as well. You may see her often at the Red Oak campus or at the Indian Springs park. Come, say hello!
