At Friends of Oak Park Schools, we respect and protect the privacy of those who use our website. To accomplish this, we collect certain personally identifiable information (“PII”) that permits us to customize and enhance your on-line experience and to communicate with you about our services.

The policy applies solely to information collected by Friends of Oak Park Schools web site. It does not apply to the practices of people that are not authorized by Friends of Oak Park Schools.

The Information We Collect

Friends of Oak Park Schools collects certain PII when you register for our newsletter or on-line shopping, place an order, or request other services that require information, registration or subscription. You may, at any time, access and verify, correct, update or remove your PII and preferences on-line at friendsofoakparkschools.org and/or by contacting our Customer Support Team by e-mail at info@friendsofoakparkschools.org. In addition, if you prefer not to receive information from us, either through e-mail, postal mail or phone, please let us know by sending us an e-mail. Please note that it may take up to two weeks for your request to become effective. Thereafter, when you make purchases, we may still send you an e-mail confirmation and may need to contact you by phone, postal mail or e-mail if we have questions regarding your order.
 


Third Party Email Company

How We Protect Kids’ Privacy

Friends of Oak Park Schools is concerned about the safety and security of children when they use the Internet.  In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (“COPPA”), we will never knowingly request PII from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent.
 


About “Cookies”

A “cookie” is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user.  For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies permit us to track and target the interests of our users in order to enhance their experience on our web site.
 
Friends of Oak Park Schools never saves passwords or credit card information in cookies.
 
Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Friends of Oak Park Schools cookies.  Friends of Oak Park Schools may allow business partners that are presenting advertisements on some of our pages to set and access their cookies on your computer. In such cases, however, Friends of Oak Park Schools has no access to or control over such cookies.

Friends of Oak Park Schools takes the security of your private information very seriously.
